Playgroup and Picnic Lunches

ACC PLAYGROUP 2011

Playgroup is held the first Wednesday of the month (in school holidays this may change), from 10am onwards.

This year we are also going to run some Sunday Playgroups which will be from 11am onwards to provide partners, families or older children who are unable to come to the Wednesday playgroups, an opportunity to attend as well.

If Playgroup is being hosted at someone’s house, please bring some food to share and let the host know that you are coming and what you are bringing. In case of inclement weather, an alternate venue will be arranged, and an email will be sent out with the details, but please feel free to contact me if you are unsure.

This is a great support network for parents of adopted children – and also for prospective parents considering adoption or going through the approval process.

We love meeting new families no matter what stage of the adoption journey they are at, so if you know of anyone that is not linked into the playgroup, please forward this to them.

To help manage the new schedule, I have created a private group on meetup.com called “Sydney Adoption Playgroup” http://www.meetup.com/sydney-adoption-playgroup/, where I post details about upcoming playgroups and any last minute changes. There is lots of shade, play equipment, café, toilets, tidal netted pool, and lots of parking free outside the park. Don't forget the bathers, hats, towels, blockout and sand toys.

There is a big playground, a bike track nearby, BBQ’s, picnic tables, toilets, netted swimming beach. There is also a café, or bring your own food

Just a few dollars to get in, it is a lovely place with a beach, a nice café and toilets, they have their own plastic beach toys, tables and chairs. Don’t forget the bathers, towels, hats and sunscreen.

Time: 11.00 am to 3.00 pm (lunch will start at 12 noon)
Cost: $20 per adult, $10 per child - including Saussage Sizzle lunch. (BYO Drinks).

Please consider making a donation to ACC, and bringing a Xmas gift for the children in the orphanages. (these are sent with families when they travel).
