Playgroup and Picnic Lunches
ACC PLAYGROUP 2013
Playgroup is held the first Wednesday of the month (in school holidays this may change), from 10am onwards.
Sunday Playgroups are held throughout the year from 11am onwards to provide partners, families or older children who are unable to come to the Wednesday playgroups, an opportunity to attend as well.
If Playgroup is being hosted at someone’s house, please bring some food to share and let the host know that you are coming and what you are bringing. In case of inclement weather, an alternate venue may be arranged, and an email will be sent out with the details, but please feel free to contact me if you are unsure.
This is a great support network for parents of adopted children – and also for prospective parents considering adoption or going through the approval process.
We love meeting new families no matter what stage of the adoption journey they are at, so if you know of anyone that is not linked into the playgroup, please forward this to them.
We have a private group at meetup.com called “Sydney Adoption Playgroup” http://www.meetup.com/sydney-adoption-playgroup/, where details about upcoming playgroups and any last minute changes are posted. Please sign up for a free meetup.com account so you can get announcements about the playgroup.

A fantastic fully fenced playground, with a great variety of equipment to keep the kids entertained. There are toilets, but NO café, so please bring your own food.
SUNDAY 24th March Clontarf – from 11am
Sandy Bay Road
CLONTARF
On the foreshore of Middle Harbour, with a playground for all ages, BBQs, toilets, cafe and netted swimming area. Paid parking is available on site or you might find free parking on nearby streets. Lots of room and a beautiful location.
Wednesday 17th April Winnererremy Bay Parkland

MONA VALE
Come and join us in the school holidays at a lovely playground that is fully fenced by the water with a café, and toilets.
Wednesday 1st May Blenheim Park
Blenheim Road
NORTH RYDE
There is a range of play equipment for all age groups including flying fox, sandpit and cycleway for kids. There are BBQ’s, picnic facilities and toilets but NO café.
SUNDAY 26th May Sydney Park – from 11am
Bawron Park Road
ST PETERS
Entrance to the car park is off Princes Highway. The playground has a huge range of play equipment for all ages. There is a kiosk next to the playground, toilets, BBQ’s and a bike path nearby.

Come along to Sydney Olympic Park and enjoy this great new playground. There are slides, swings, tunnels, bike track, flying fox and climbing equipment. There are toilets and a café nearby, or bring a picnic lunch, BBQ’s available. There is limited shade/shelter, but plenty of parking.
SUNDAY 28th July Centennial Park – from 11am
Grand Drive
CENTENNIAL PARK
We will be at the Learner’s Cycleway Playground, enter through the Randwick Gates. There is a playground with cycleway, BBQ’s and toilets nearby and lots of shade. Bring some lunch and the bikes and join us for a picnic in the park.

A place for all the family, we will meet at the Regional Playground, but there is a lot to do here. Bring the bikes, or play some games on the grassed areas, visit the Gardens of Many Nations, bring a picnic or have a BBQ. Parking costs $6 per car.

This is a great place for a picnic, with lots of space for ball games. There is a playground, a bike track nearby, BBQ’s, picnic tables, toilets, netted swimming beach. There is also a café, or bring your own food.

Just a few dollars to get in, it is a lovely place with a beach, a nice café and toilets, they have their own plastic beach toys, tables and chairs. Don’t forget the bathers, towels, hats and sunscreen.

Time: 11.00 am to 3.00 pm (lunch will start at 12 noon)
Cost: $20 per adult, $10 per child - including Sausage Sizzle lunch. (BYO Drinks).
