Child Sponsorship

Australians Caring for Children Inc (ACC) is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian association formed in 1987.

Its main objective is the provision of aid to children in countries outside Australia who are in need and distress. These children have usually been orphaned, abandoned or relinquished, and who, for the most part, have been placed in the care of orphanages or children's homes.

ACC's assistance is offered in two ways:

1. The granting of funds to the orphanages for particular projects or purposes. This money is raised by ACC members through such activities as chocolate sales, raffles, trivia nights, art exhibitions, dances and fetes and fairs, etc.
   
2. Child sponsorship programs which offer the orphanages a regular and reliable income upon which they can budget. This money is expressly for the direct benefit of the children by providing better nutrition and access to education and health care.

We currently administer sponsorship programs in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and India. The sponsorship contribution of $30 per months payable once ever 3, 6 or 12 months. You can sponsor 1 or more children. You can also share the sponsorship contribution with friends or family members, your child's class, you local playgroup etc..

It costs less then $1 per day to sponsor a child.

Every dollar collected from our sponsors is sent overseas to the orphanages and the funds are used to provide medical care, improve nutrition and education.

All ACC's work is carried out by volunteerswho receive no remuneration for the work that they do.

Australians Caring for Children administers a number of sponsorship programs which offer orphanages a regular and reliable income upon which they can budget. We assure you that every dollar collected from our sponsors is received by the orphanages without any deductions. All administrative costs are covered by ACC's general funds. As a sponsor you will receive information and a photograph of a particular child with regular updates as well as a copy of our Sponsorship Newsletter.

Remember that for a few dollars each week (less then the cost of a cup of coffee each day) YOU can give a child a real chance in life and YOU can make a difference.
